At present the free editions of database software do not have comparative benchmark data. So when Eric Vercelleto performed an independent TPC-C like benchmark test on the free edition of Informix, Innovator-C, Oninit Group jumped at the chance to write an article which draws attention to these impressive results. The stress test was based on the TPC-Benchmark developed by Professor Diego R Llanos and his team of students at the Universidad de Valladolid, Spain.
